What is a stem player?

How to use StemFM as an online stem player

Choose your music. Search for a song or artist, describe a mood or genre, paste a supported Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music link, or upload audio that you own or have permission to use.

Add a track. Select the + beside a result, or choose Create Session when StemFM suggests one.

Wait for stemming. StemFM loads the track and separates it into four controllable stems.

Some songs take a moment to process. If a track cannot be added or one version does not play, try another available version.

Is StemFM a Stem Player emulator?
Not in the strict technical sense. An emulator normally recreates another device's hardware or firmware in software. StemFM does not emulate the original Stem1 operating system.
People often use "Stem Player emulator" to mean a browser tool that gives them a similar result: separating a song into parts and controlling those parts live.
